After years in the candle industry, we've heard incredible stories: from towels on fire from a candle in the bathroom, to desks burned from forgotten candles. The list goes on.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in these cases, but safety is paramount. Follow these tips:
- Keep the candles in sight.
- Do not put them near flammable objects.
- Keep candles away from children and pets.
- Use appropriate candle holders.
- Place them on resistant surfaces.
- Read the instructions.
- Avoid drafts.
- Don't let them burn out completely.
- If the flame grows or smokes a lot, put it out.
- Caution in blackouts.
- Do not use them as a night light.
